Water kids

In late 2004, Sylvester Hvid & Co. Ltd was asked by Vestegnens Vandsamarbejde to develope a multi-annual campaign. The seven municipalities in the Vandsamarbejde group were looking for a campaign that could motivate children in fourth to sixth grade to drink more water from the tap.

The campaign had to focus on the healtly elements in drinking tap water rather than sugary soft drinks. At the same time, it was intended to motivate kids, youngsters and their parents to be careful with the vulnerable and limited water resources, we have in Denmark.

By moving the target group's knowledge, position and behaviour regarding water and health, the campaign should make children and teenagers drink more tap water.

Sylvester Hvid & Co. Ltd developed the campaign in close collaboration with representatives from the target groups. They joined i.e. several focus groups where attitudes as well as aesthetic and media related preferences were tested. Finally, we created the concept and the logo "Vandbizzerne".

The client Vestegnens Vandsamarbejde has been extremely satisfield with the campaign execution which worked well both in schools and at the childrens' homes.
