New owner,
a new beginning

At this time, international chains of agencies had established themselves in Denmark and gradually taken over budgets from international brands, which they were also servicing in other parts of the world.

At the same time, many Danish brands who used to be core clients at Sylvester Hvid & Co. Ltd, were under heavy pressure from foreign competitors. Many of the Danish brands disappeared totally from the market.

After years with declining turnover and unsuccesful attempts to adapt to the new market conditions, the Sylvester-Hvid family decided in 1994 to sell their advertising agency to Fernando Olsen who had managed his own agency for a couple of years.

Fernando Olsen followed in the footsteps of the family but went his own way. The name of the agency was maintained, but the strategy changed which could be seen immediately in the agency's economy. In 1994, Sylvester Hvid & Co. Ltd. turned over 9 million DKK. Three years later, it passed 70 million DKK.

Fernando Olsen is still the owner of the agency and its CEO.
